The origins of the restaurant can be traced back to the beginning of the twentieth century, when Jeroni Carrera and Rosa Molas served drinks and food at the small store named Can Pitus.

With the passing of time, they were able to buy a new house, thus enlarging the establishment and making it possible to serve meals to the first German tourists and the holidaymakers from Camprodon who visited the village, being enchanted with the “Majestat”.

During the difficult times of the forties, a new generation incorporated itself into the business, the son Joan at the bar and the young Teresa Vila in the kitchen. The mountain type rice and wild game were the main dishes of this period.

With the new road that was opened, new visitors arrived as of the year 1965. Being able to reach the village with vehicles meant a great change.

During the seventies and eighties, there was a lot of activity. It was a matter of wealthy times, where people discovered the most hidden place of the Pyrenees in the village.

At the beginning of the new century, the newly established road via Oix has allowed an easier access to the village. New changes and alterations have characterized the present style of the restaurant. It has special characteristics, the specific results of years of existence.
